I have retired from designing landscape gardens, 10/2025 but my thoughts are never too far from plants, trees, working or volunteering in gardens. If I can give one bit of advice for your gardening project, keep making and editing plans but start with this: perform a reliable soil test including soil texture, soil pH and organic composition while selecting plantings suitable to your site and microclimates within your property.
